Drinking water in Miami-Dade County could contain too much of a cancer-causing chemical.
The Environmental Working Group and Northeastern University recently studied the drinking water of more than 600 sources across 43 states.
They found the amount of a chemical called PFAs in the water from the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Authority was 43 times the level researchers consider harmful.
Scientists tell McClatchy DC that number is way too high, and follow up research is needed to see if the problem is getting better or worse.
