Fort Lauderdale To Inhale Cigarette Sales Ban For Anyone Under 21

Ft. Lauderdale could soon be extinguishing cigarette sales to anyone under 21. City Commissioners inhaling a new law raising the age of legal tobacco sales from 18-to-21. Commissioner Steve Glassman, who brought up the idea, says it's aimed at those who sell tobacco, vendors would be warned before facing fines. He says Ft. Lauderdale would become the only city in Broward to have this type of ban if it passes upon a second reading set for September 3rd. He's hoping it sparks other cities to adopt similar bans so teens can't just go to a nearby city and buy tobacco products.
