The Palm Beach County School District is updating its calendar for later this school year.
Spring Break will be cut one day short due to the presidential preference primary in March.
Since schools will be closed on Tuesday, March 17th for election day, the district has tweaked spring break to run from March 23 through the 27th, with kids returning to class on Monday, March 30th.
The original calendar had kids off that Monday as a Teacher Work Day.
District officials say closing the school for the primary will ensure that students are kept safe.
