Universal Orlando Reopens Theme Parks To Guests

Universal Orlando will welcome guests back to their theme parks today, but with lots of new restrictions.

The parks have shorter hours and not all of the shows and attractions will be open. The company is also limiting capacity to 50-percent.

All park guests will have to wear masks and there will be temperature checks before entering the gates. You'll see more signs reminding people to wash their hands and maintain social distancing.

Universal is also urging all guests to use their app. Park goers can order food or stand in virtual cues to limit their expose to other people.

The company's chief executive officer says many of the same rules are in place behind the scenes too in order to keep employees safe.

Universal is the first major theme park to reopen since closing in mid-March. SeaWorld will reopen June 11th and Disney parks start reopening on July 11th.
