A Texas auction house has been accused of price-gouging for medical face masks during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Texas Attorney General's office filed a lawsuit this week against Auctions Unlimited, accusing them of charging as much as $180 for package of sixteen masks.
Auctions Unlimited owner Tim Worstell says price gouging is impossible because "the bidders, not Auctions Unlimited, decide the price".
The lawsuit has left a stash of over 750,000 masks in limbo during the investigation.
